Fall Into My Blue

Art

These artworks depict a sense of catharsis in confronting chaos. Up close, there is a rigidity to the artworks - vertical parallel hatching in ranging thicknesses provide structure and order. Yet, when viewed from afar, high contrast areas detract from the focal point, drawing attention to the haphazard arrangement of composition. The drawings allow for a representation of turmoil within a controlled, imaginary space. There is a visual dissonance in this piece; amongst the pandemonium lies quiet order.
